Getting Here

Whether you are an amateur traveler or a connoisseur of travel, finding The Mimslyn Inn is a simple and “eye-delicious” drive through the rolling countryside in one of Virginia’s most notable places: the Shenandoah Valley. Getting to the Inn is almost as fun as being there! We are located in Luray’s historic downtown and provide a perfect home base for activities throughout the Valley area.

shenandoahAn aerial view of our community would reveal an open valley banked by two mountain ranges with a large river flowing down the middle. The famous Blue Ridge Mountains are home to the Shenandoah National Park, a full-service attraction featuring Skyline Drive with its 75 overlooks and over 500 miles of hiking trails. The Massanutten Mountain Range features George Washington National Forest, offering plenty of recreational opportunities.

The south fork of the Shenandoah River cuts the Valley in two, which creates a unique balance between recreation and traditional farming, making the area a wholesome place to live and visit.

The close proximity to metropolitan areas hasn’t disturbed our down-home lifestyle and Southern charm. We are 15 minutes from Interstate 81, 30 minutes from I-66, and only 90 miles from the nation’s capital. You could be enjoying our spirited hospitality in just a few hours!
